TDK InvenSense’s barometric pressure sensors use an innovative capacitive MEMS architecture to deliver lower power consumption and lower noise than competing technologies. The SmartPressure products can measure height change below 5 cm, less than the height of a single stair step.
With its industry-leading measurement accuracy and ultra-low power operation for always-on applications, the SmartPressure product family is best suited for smart phones, tablets, wearables, drones, and many other devices to determine accurate location of E911 calls, track changes in elevation for activity monitoring, support indoor or 3D navigation, and other motion- or position-based services. Home appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, water and gas meters can use the pressure sensors to monitor air flow or water level.
The SmartPressure product family includes support for waterproofing to 10 ATM.
A Development Kit is available for each product family for easy evaluation.

Pressure sensors supply measured data for industrial equipment and systems in order to control and diagnose hydraulically or pneumatically operated machines, for instance. This makes them key components in measurement and control technology.

Die TDK Corporation präsentiert mit der AVD Serie neue Drucktransmitter, die sich durch ihre extrem flache Bauweise und hohe Präzision auszeichnen. Die Transmitter mit den Bestellnummern B58621V* sind in drei Ausführungen für Druckmessbereiche von 0 bis 16 mbar, 0 bis 100 mbar und 0 bis 7 bar verfügbar. Sie bieten eine außergewöhnlich hohe Genauigkeit bei niedrigen Druckbereichen, wie z.B. ±1,75% full scale (FS) bei einem Druckbereich von 100 mbar. Bei einer Grundfläche von 31 x 40 mm2 beträgt die Bauhöhe nur 12,9 mm, was den Einsatz in Anwendungen auch bei beengten Platzverhältnissen ermöglicht. Die kompakten piezoresistiven Druckmessumformer basieren auf der MEMS-Technologie und sind für die Druckmessung von Luft und nicht aggressiven Gasen geeignet. Neben der Differenzdruckmessung können sie auch zur Überdruck-messung in einem Temperaturbereich von -20 °C bis +70 °C eingesetzt werden.
