A. Electrolytic capacitors are parts that determine the life of power supplies. The methods of calculating the estimated service life of electrolytic capacitors are as shown below.
(example with electrolytic capacitors guaranteed to operate at 105°C used)
L = L0 × 2(105–Tc)/10 (hours)
L: Estimated service life of electrolytic capacitors
L0: Guaranteed life of electrolytic capacitors
Tc (temperature rise value + ambient temperature): Electronic capacitor case temperature
Please refer to the reliability data of the respective models for the calculation results. The fans of forced air cooling type power supplies are also applicable parts.
