Capacitors / Electric Double-Layer Capacitors (EDLC / Supercapacitors)
TDK has been offering pouch-type EDLCs, and has developed a new ultra-thin EDLC, with a thickness of 0.45mm (max.) that can be stored inside an IC card. It realizes battery-less smart cards equipped with a display, and is suitable for secondary power supplies for wearable devices or IoT devices.
Power Supply Inductor / In-vehicle inductor ADL3225V type
Along with the increasingly high speed and high functionality of in-vehicle LANs, in LVDS transmissions in-vehicle camera systems, PoC (Power over Coax) which placed signal and power source on top of each other in the single line are becoming increasingly advanced. Power inductor ADL3225V type guarantees transmission quality while saving space.
Common-mode Choke ACT45L type for automotive Ethernet
December 2018 : ACT45L-201-2P-TL000 listed on this page is a not-recommended for new design.
As sensor and camera based devices become more and more common in automobiles, Ethernet technology has been introduced at a rapid pace as automotive LAN systems for advanced multimedia and data communication devices. TDK developed the ACT45L type of common mode filters for Ethernet, which has achieved excellent noise suppression characteristics in a small and low-profile form.
Motion- and gesture-based devices from InvenSense are rapidly becoming a key function in many consumer electronic devices, including mobile, wearable, Smart Home, and automotive and industrial devices. Our motion solutions, including gyroscopes, accelerometers, compasses, and pressure sensors, detect and track an object's motion in three-dimensional space, allowing consumers to interact with their electronic devices by tracking motion in free space and delivering these motions as input commands. InvenSense devices across the board have industry leading relative accuracy, sensor throughput, and temperature stability.

As electronic devices become more advanced, the power supply voltage of LSIs used in them is lowered, so their power consumption can be reduced and their speed increased. However, a decrease in the power supply voltage also causes the requirements regarding voltage fluctuations to become more severe, creating a need for high-performance DC-DC converters to fulfill these characteristic requirements, and power inductors are important components that greatly affect their performance. TDK has a widely varied lineup of power inductor products, and this article describes and explains effective methods for using power inductors, and key points for selecting them, according to the required characteristics of DC-DC converters.
If communication waves from cellular or Wi-Fi sources interfere with and intrude into microphone lines for smartphones or other devices, some of their components will become noise components in audible bands known as "TDMA noise", and may be emitted from speakers as unpleasant sound. Countermeasures which implement combinations of TDK's noise suppression filters and chip varistors can not only demonstrate outstanding effectiveness at suppressing TDMA noise with no effect on signals, but can also provide a variety of other benefits such as improving cellular or Wi-Fi communication reception sensitivity, and providing countermeasures against ESD (electrostatic discharge).
TDK's ANT series ceramic chip antennas feature compact and low profile designs utilizing low temperature co-fired ceramic technology (LTCC). Even with their small size and thin profile, TDK antennas maintain high performance and reliability, all with the industry's smallest "keep-out" area on the PCB which enable ease of PCB design and revision at each development stage.
The products in TDK's CU series of isolators/circulators are used as RF components in signal transmitting and receiving systems at locations such as mobile telephone base stations and microwave relay stations. With a diverse variety of frequencies, bandwidths, shape dimensions, terminal structures, and special specifications, their wide lineup extends from products accommodating low power for the initial stages of high-frequency amplifiers, to products accommodating high power for their final stages. This article clearly describes and explains information valuable for our customers related to the features of TDK's CU series of isolators/circulators.
