TDK does not offer capacitors with Y5V temperature characteristics.
Capacitors with X5R characteristics exhibit smaller capacitance changes and superior DC bias characteristics compared to those with Y5V characteristics. Therefore, we recommend capacitors with X5R characteristics. In addition, we also recommend capacitors with X7R characteristics because they also exhibit smaller capacitance changes and superior DC bias characteristics compared to those of Y5V, as well as a wider operating temperature range.
