The HAL (High Anisotropy field Layer) production process is a unique production process by TDK where the magnetic characteristics of Neodymium can be improved while greatly reducing its heavy rare-earth components such as Dy (dysprosium) and Tb (terbium).
Elements such as Dy (dysprosium) and Tb (terbium) are particularly expensive heavy rare elements used for enhancing magnetic coercive force.
