Release of an entire product portal of PTC (positive temperature coefficient) characteristics
 
PTC is an abbreviation for “positive temperature coefficient” and is characterized by how only the positive coefficients of electrical resistance values change with the rising of temperatures. TDK exploits this characteristic of how the flow of electricity decreases as temperatures increase and how the flow of electricity increases as temperatures decrease to develop various thermistors and heater elements.


 
 
High-Voltage Contactors: A new release of the product portal.
 
  • The HVC series are specially designed to meet the requirements of high-voltage DC switching applications.
    The optimized hermetically sealed design exhibits excellent reliability performance against harsh environments.
    HVC series can be used in a wide range of applications, e.g. DC fast charging stations, renewable energy storage systems as well as battery disconnect units (BDU).
 
[New product] "ATB2012E-20011-T06" balun for NFC devices has been added
 
The "ATB2012E-20011-T06" has been newly included in the wound SMD ATB balun transformer series.

The ATB2012E-20011-T06 is a 2012type chip balun transformer that has been designed for 20Ω impedance systems. The frequency bandwidth for the ATB2012E-20011 is 13.56MHz (standard IL=0.75dB) and it is optimal for NFC applications.

 
[Mass production begins] The world’s most compact* ACT1210L common mode filter series for automotive Ethernet
 
TDK began mass production of world’s most compact* ACT1210L common mode filters for automotive Ethernet in June 2017. Our own structural designs and winding methods give the ACT1210L series the Scd21 mode conversion characteristic that is equivalent to that of the ACT45L even when made small. The Scd21 mode conversion characteristic is of high standards in that it is excellent as a common mode filter characteristic without the differential signals being converted to common mode. The use of metal terminals also allows high heat resistance with an operating temperature range of -40 to +125℃.

“Chip Beads Selection Guide” has been released
 
Chip beads are elements that easily produce noise removal effects by being inserted in series in transmission lines, which are often sources of noise radiation. They are applied in a wide variety of instruments because of the convenience that they provide. TDK’s lineup of chip beads includes micromini products measuring at just 0.4mm×0.2mm, Gigaspira-structured products that provide high impedance at GHz bands, and products that are compatible with high currents in power lines. These products are made with TDK’s own ferrite technology and achieve effective noise removal functions at wide frequency bands. There are a great number of products available, including those that are compliant with the AEC-Q200 for in-vehicle use.
The selection guide helps you choose the optimal chip beads from their various shapes and applications.

 
“ESD Protection Devices Selection Guide” has been redesigned
 
The “ESD Protection Devices Selection Guide” has been updated. Applications (RS-232C/RS-423 RS-422/RS-485, Audio (Headphone), Audio (Speaker)) and circuit voltages have been added.
Please be sure to take a look at this selection guide that has become easier to use.

 
Details on voltage / current / temperature protection devices sample kits
 
Links for “chip varistors / ceramic transient voltage suppressors” and “chip NTC thermistors” sample kits have been added.
They are compliant with both the TDK and EPCOS brands.
