The rated current for power inductors used in power circuits is specified as either Isat (the current based on the allowable change in inductance) or Itemp (the current based on allowable self-temperature rise). The allowable inductance change for Isat and the allowable temperature rise for Itemp vary by product, so please refer to the product catalog or datasheet.
