TDK's PiezoStator Ultrasonic Actuator is a component of a motor that operates using the power of multilayer piezo materials without using coils or magnets.
Combined with sliders and rotators, linear and rotary motions can be realized with light weight, low profile, and quiet operation. In addition, when used in combination with a sensor, high-precision positioning is possible.
The linear and rotary motions of the Piezo Stator do not use a rack and pinion structure. Therefore, the PiezoStator Ultrasonic Actuator is ideal for small mechanisms that are difficult to install in conventional motors due to space and weight limitations, and for applications in environments where magnetic fields are undesirable. |
