Circuit Design Tips | How to maximize the performance of chip varistors



TDK offers multilayer chip varistors that protect equipments from malfunction and failure due to ESD (electrostatic discharge) and we have long contributed to solve the ESD problems of our customers. However, they have been recently unable to provide sufficient protection recently because the applications have become smaller, lighter and more sophisticated. To investigate the cause of this problem, we conducted the ESD test assuming the miniaturization of the applications.
