TDK Product Features
Magnets are applied to various products including home electronics, automobiles, and infrastructure and industrial equipment, and are indispensable for modern life. We have continued to develop magnet materials for nearly a half century, from the development of ferrite magnet FB1A material in 1959 to the development of cutting-edge Neodymium magnets and the world's first La-Co high-performance ferrite magnet, making a significant contribution to the progress of modern industry. Our lineup of Neodymium magnets consists of high-performance magnets without heavy rare earth elements such as Dy (dysprosium) and Tb (terbium), and high-performance magnets produced with heavy rare earth diffusion (the HAL method), which greatly reduces the use of heavy rare earth elements when compared with conventional production methods.
