Q.
Are there any documents that give an outline of features such as the mechanism of TMR angle sensors and their differences from similar sensors?

A. TDK’s TMR sensors are a new type of magnetic sensor using TMR elements, which are highly-sensitive regeneration elements of HDD heads. These regeneration elements of HDD heads are based on the magnetoresistance effect, a principle in which the electrical resistance changes slightly when an external magnetic field is applied on a substance. From the 1980s, this principle has evolved into AMR (Anisotropic magnetoresistance effect) elements, GMR (Giant magnetoresistance effect) elements, and TMR (Tunnel magnetoresistance effect) elements. Please refer to the available product overview that explains the products and technology of TMR sensors.
