TDK Developing Technologies "InWheelSense™: Where the rubber meets the road" has been released.

This page introduces the CEATEC AWARD 2020 winning,InWheelSense™ which is an energy harvesting device using piezoelectric elements (energy harvesting module).
This product can efficiently convert the force of tire rotation into electric power and achieve batteryless sensing on wheels and tires. When it is placed at the boundary between the tire and the wheel, it uses the force received from the road surface to generate electricity.
Various driving conditions can be sensed from the change in electromotive force characteristics with just the module.Scalable power generation is also possible with multiple devices.
