A. An inrush current limitter PTC should be carefully selected according to specified design target. Firstly it is necessary to confirm how many PTC elements are required using the equation that is described in each datasheet according to circuit design in application as well as PTC specs of interest like reference temperature or heat capacitance. In case of consecutive charging/discharging cycles in a short time, increased number of PTC elements might be required because heat dissipation within the time to a following cycle could be limited.
