ESD protection parts such as Chip Varistors and Zener Diodes can efficiently protect against ESD when placed close to the ESD intrusion point. However, identifying the intrusion route of ESD is difficult, and there are many instances where ESD protection parts do not perform their full potential. Because of this, for ESD protection parts to perfrom their underlying capabilities, it is necessary to identify the ESD intrusion path and mount the parts near to the ESD intrusion point. Therefore, we recently conducted a survey on the importance of mounting location using an ESD visualization system and present it here. |
