No Tin Whisker Risk in TDK MLCCs (3): How does TDK test for Sn whisker?

A. There currently is no industry standard for MLCC Sn Whisker testing. Sn whisker testing is not a part of standard internal qualification test plans. TDK has tested per the IC standard as described in JESD22A121.


TDK MLCCs are RoHS compliant (Pb free). Sn overcoating is matte finish.
