TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) presents a new series of EPCOS MKP-Y2 capacitors for interference suppression. In contrast to conventional models designed for a maximum operating temperature of 110 °C, the new capacitors offer a maximum permissible operating temperature of 125 °C. The B3202*H/J series’ capacitance ranges from 1 nF to 1 µF with a maximum rated voltage of 300 V AC. The capacitors are certified according to IEC 60384-14:2013/AMD1:2016 and approved according to AEC-Q200D, UL, and EN. Depending on the capacitance, the products are available in lead spacing of 10 mm (B32021H/J*), 15 mm (B32022H/J*), 22.5 mm (B32023H/J*), and 27.5 mm (B32024H/J*) and 37.5 mm (B32026H/J). The housing, for example potting material, corresponds to UL94V-0.
TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) presents a new series of very compact EPCOS X2 capacitors for noise suppression. They are rated for 275 V AC and cover a capacitance spectrum from 33 nF to 1 µF. Depending on the capacitance value, the interference suppression components have lead spaces of 10 mm (B32921X* / Y*), 15 mm (B32922X* / Y*) and 22.5 mm (B32923X* / Y*).

EMI suppression capacitors are used in a wide variety of applications, for example, for RFI suppression and prevention of electrical shock to humans and animals. The special features of these certified components according to IEC60384-14 are self-extinction in case of fire (UL 94 V-0) and their overvoltage protection. These capacitors are available for both X and Y categories and their subclasses, in various ratings of voltage, temperature and humidity protection, that cover applications from consumer electronics to industrial devices and automotive applications with dedicated series approved in AECQ200-D.
