TDK Corporation presents a new series of EPCOS MKP AC capacitors for filter applications. The components of the B33331V* series are designed for a rated voltage of 460Vrms, corresponding to a peak voltage of 650V, and cover a capacitance range from 2µF to 50µF.

TDK Corporation is expanding the B84243* series of EPCOS 3-line EMC filters to include 10 new types for currents of up to 280 A. All 18 types in the series are designed for a rated voltage of 530 V AC.

TDK Corporation has extended its range of EPCOS film capacitors for DC link applications. The B3277*H series now provides types for particularly harsh environmental conditions.

SMD or chip varistors are voltage-dependent resistors based on ceramic multilayer technology. They are widely used to protect electronic circuits in consumer devices and telecom, industrial and automotive applications against transient overvoltages, such as electrostatic discharges (ESD) and surge transients.

Chip varistors have both surge absorption capabilities and noise suppressing effects.

TDK Corporation has extended its HVC series of high-voltage contactors with the new HVC300 and HVC500 types with current capabilities of 300 A and 500 A, respectively. The new contactors can switch high voltages of up to 900 V DC, while types for 1200 V DC are available on request.

TDK Corporation presents EPCOS PQvar™, a modular static var generator for active stepless power factor correction and load balancing in industrial grids and large commercial buildings. With a fast response time of less than 15 ms and a dynamic reaction time of 50 µs, PQvar offers significantly faster compensation than conventional systems.

TDK’s chip varistors in the AVR series, which are made with our own materials, feature high resistance to repeated surges. Products that substitute Zener diodes in compact devices such as solenoid valves and stepping motors, which are rapidly and frequently turned on and off, are also available.

NTC thermistors are heat-sensitive resistor elements of which resistance values rapidly decrease with rise of temperature. With this property, they are used as temperature protection devices for protecting circuits from overheating as well as temperature sensors.
