TDK Corporation (TSE: 6762) introduces PhaseCap® Energy Plus, two new series of EPCOS PFC capacitors. The B25674C* series is gas-impregnated and covers a voltage range from 230 V AC to 690 V AC and offers compensation ratings from 5 kvar to 33.1 kvar, depending on the type. The B25675C* series capacitors are impregnated with a biodegradable resin and are rated for voltages from 230 V AC to 1000 V AC, with compensation ratings of up to 60 kvar.
TDK Corporation presents DeltaCap™ X Black Premium – a new series of EPCOS MKD capacitors for power factor correction (PFC). With rated voltages of between 440 V AC and 850 V AC, the capacitors with an internal delta connection are designed for power factor correction and filtering of harmonics at the low-voltage level.
TDK Corporation presents EPCOS PQvar™, a modular static var generator for active stepless power factor correction and load balancing in industrial grids and large commercial buildings. With a fast response time of less than 15 ms and a dynamic reaction time of 50 µs, PQvar offers significantly faster compensation than conventional systems.
Various frequency converters for pumps and compressors are used in the petrochemical industry for extracting and producing oil and gas, which leads to a large load of the grid with harmonics. This problem can be solved with EPCOS PQSine®.

The PhaseCap®, DeltaCap™ and PhiCap™ series of power capacitors in cylindrical aluminum cans are designed for low-voltage applications. Loads such as motors and transformers not only consume active power, but reactive power as well. Generators, supply cables and other electrical distribution equipment, therefore, must be relieved of reactive power. In addition to the various series of EPCOS PFC capacitors, TDK offers a broad range of key components for PFC and harmonic filtering. The product portfolio covers power factor controllers (PF controllers) for conventional and dynamic PFC (BR series), measuring devices, capacitor contactors, thyristor switches for dynamic PFC (TSM series), anti-resonance harmonic filters, and active harmonic filters (PQSine® series).
