The CUR 4000 is a single-axis contactless magnetic-field sensor for galvanically isolated DC and AC current measurements.
In electric vehicles (xEVs), thermal management plays a crucial role for battery safety and longevity, inverter and motor monitoring, and comfort also. For this purpose, TDK offers a broad variety of innovative NTC and PTC based temperature sensors solutions, optimized by their design and specification for the respective applications. However, advanced Micronas Hall sensors and motor controllers also perform important tasks, for example in the high-precision control of valves.
TDK Product Features
TDK leverages its strengths as the world's first manufacturer to commercialize ferrite in order to develop ferrite with the optimal performance for use in products. The clamp alternating current sensor was developed to make maximum use of those characteristics. In conjunction with the expansion of the market for energy management systems for Industry 4.0, TDK has created a lineup of AC current sensors compatible with 30A to 600A to meet the need for high current support. These products are one-touch type clamps, which means they are easily attached to existing electric power equipment.
The CUR 4000 sensor was designed for DC current measurements up to ≥2000 A in automotive and industrial applications such as high-voltage battery monitoring systems of hybrid and electric vehicles (xEV).
